At long last...
Finally after one year and three months I've finally finished reading "The Fellowship of the Ring"!
This has been the longest time I have ever read any book. And I thought Shakespeare was hard to read, Tolkien was even harder! But the good thing about it is that it was a good read. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Reading the Fellowhip was really hard even though it's a very interesting book to read. The reason I took so long to read it is because I have to stop every chapter and rest my brains. The way Tolkien describe everything in the story was really nerve racking. My mind just keeps going on and on and on about the places, peoples and things that are being describe in the book. It's really hard to keep reading when you're already mentally drained after a chapter. And though the movie helped in visualizing some things, thee are still more of them that needs to be visualized.
So, I have to stop and refresh my brains. I read other books in between LOTR. From Starwars to Harry Potter, and other books. One book in between chapters just to get my imaginative juices to work yet again.
As I've said, it took time, but it was worth it. I loved every moment of it. From the party in the Shire, going to Bree and meeting Galadriel in Lorien it was amazing. It keeps me going to places and meeting people along the way. It feels like I was one of the nine companions.
Next book, the Two Towers...I wonder how long I'm going to read that as well. But I am determined to finish this book before the Return of the King will be shown in the movie houses. I reall hope I can do it this time. Wish me luck. :D
