Some Words From People and other thoughts...

"The world is growing up...It's starting to get civilized and it's starting to becoming boring..." - Zen Gezner, The Adventures of Sinbad

(WARNING: THE FIRST 3 PARAGRAPHS MAY OR MAY NOT MEAN ANYTHING WITH THE SAYING ABOVE...YOU MIGHT GET CONFUSED AND SUDDENLY DO AN ANIME AND SWEATDROP)

Today was a very up and down day for me. I got to watch F1 and was fairly happy with the results (Kimi Raikkonen got 3rd place and MSchu was 4th) though I could have wanted either Kimi or Ralph to have won 1st place and not David Coultard. But it was okay, at least Kimi had a podium finish and Ralph got the last point (he got 8th place).

Anyway, this morning I was a little frustrated with our cable company. They just decided to update their signal right before F1 started. I missed the first 30mins. of the race and by the time the signal cleared, a lot has already happened. Barrichello was out of the game and so has Firman...Kimi had made a mistake and ended up having a drive through penalty...Michael dropped down to fourth place behind JPM and Ralph...Coultard made a pitstop after lap 1...and so on. I have to watch the reruns again this evening in Chinese!!! And I can't even understand Chinese!!!

Anyway, to make things worse, this afternoon I went to the bookstore and found out the all the books that I wanted are out. Why is it that everytime I don't have money, they tend to release those books and when I have the money, they're no where to be found. Life's not fair...

Anyway, the world is growing up...and it's starting to get boring. All you see now are people always in a hurry and not stopping to smell the flowers. They don't tend to see the beauty that surrounds them nowadays. All they could see are the problems that is around them now. The upcoming war, aids, pollution, garbage, etc. But what about the good things in life? What ever happened to the magic of living? What ever happened to people's imagination that had made the world so bright and happy to live in?

Before, a smile of a child can light up the world...that's magic. Birds singing on a nearby tree...that's magic. A rainbow decorating the sky...that's magic. Children playing outside...that's magic.

Where is that magic now? Where has it gone? Where are the usual miracles that people stop to look at and enjoy?

Indeed, the world has grown up. But does it have to be boring?
