Life's not Fair and the new MRT Station
Yesterday was one of those days that I wanted to scream and throw my computer to the next county. It hanged in the morning while I was doing some important documents that was needed the next day. The worst part was when I was about to go home already but the document that was needed the wouldn't save on the disk. Tried as I might, I couldn't get the document to save even with the multiple diskettes that I armed myself in. One of the slides was bigger than the total number of bytes that the diskette have so I really couldn't save the document.
As a result, I have to email myself the document (cutting the document into three sections first before emailing it) and fixed it at home so that it would fit. I sent it twice to every single available email address that I have. It really sucked because I have to send it twice because one email address wouldn't accept the email because the attachment was so big. Good thing before the night was over, I had saved everything at home and put it in one CD (thank God we have a CD Burner!)
Then there's this poster incident. The day before my boss told me to make a poster that was needed to be posted supposedly yesterday afternoon. I slaved over the computer to make it even pestering my older brother to change the ink of the computer so that i can be finished early. And yesterday, the person who suppose to get the poster didn't come and take it. It really annoyed my because I tried so hard to finish it on time just to find out that all your work is wasted since that person didn't show up to retrieve my poster. Life sucks.
Anyway, another upsetting thing is that in Formula 1, they might strip Kimi Raikkonen's win and hand it to Gian Carlo Fisichella. I actually have mixed emotions on this. Kimi Raikkonen is my favorite driver in F1. Honestly speaking, I want him to be World Champion in Formula 1. But as I see it, Fisichella deserve the win as well. He drove well and when Kimi slipped, he did an amazing overtaking maneuver. Sad to say that some people doesn't see it that way. My comrades in the Official Kimi Raikkonen Forum doesn't see it that way as well. But it's their opinion so I guess it's okay. But whatever the decision the FIA made, I'll be happy.
With everything that has been happening, there was something good about yesterday.
The new MRT station is finally open. And though it was a little expensive than the other MRT station (I've spent P12 passing only two stations for the new MRT while the old one I've spent P12.50 which passes eight stations) and the security was so tight (they looked over my bag opening every available zipper and frisk me) it was an amazing experience. I was like a kid again. I was in awe when I was riding it. The station was spacious and air conditioned. And since it's new, there are only few people using it. I had a whole chair all to myself. The train itself was cool. I feel like I'm in another country because it looked like the subway. And I can look at both side of the train and I could see the ends, unlike the LRT and the MRT where they have separate "capsules" for the train.
What's really great about it is that the aircon isn't that cold. Unlike the LRT where there is no aircon at all and the first MRT where the aircon is so cold. This is just right, not too hot and not too cold.
I guess yesterday wasn't a bad day. But it would have been the best day if it wasn't for that document incident.
