Upsetting Advertisement

I was watching on E! Philippines and they presented that Super Ferry has cable TV already. That is a good thing. Everyone at home was really happy about it because now we can actually watch the things that we wanted to watch even if we’re on a boat going to Negros.

But what really annoyed and upset me was how they advertise that they have satellite broadcasting on the boat. War isn’t exciting! War isn’t the kind of thing that we should be watching to have good entertainment! War isn’t entertaining! It’s disgusting to think that there are people who see war as a form of entertainment.

There are innocent people who die because of these war. There are parents who leave their children and are just caught in the middle of it all. There are children who go off to war to “defend” their country. And some people actually see this as a form of entertainment. How could it be entertaining to someone when people die because of a war that shouldn’t have happened? How can anyone even think that it’s exciting to watch soldiers kill of other soldiers? Buildings get bombed and destroyed. Children loses their parents because of panic. Parents screaming the names of their children who they thought was just right behind them while they run for safety. And people who are far away from it all are just watching from their TV screens and think that this is entertaining.

Honestly this I ask. What’s entertaining about seeing people kill other people? What’s so exciting about soldiers bombing bases where there are also people there just doing their job?

It’s so sickening to think that there are people who see this war as a form of entertainment. A way for the ratings of their show to move up. This is really a blow for me that there are people who would actually stoop this low just to sell a product. It’s really annoying to see some people actually enjoying the carnage.

What has been happening to our world? I say that we have to think about this. We are not better than those people killing other people if we actually get entertained by this war. It’s not right.
