That's What Younger Brothers Are For

Sometimes when I 'm on my way to work, I encounter my neighbors dogs outside their house without a leash and are free to roam around the street without any people guarding them. It would have been fine if the dogs have their rabies shots already and they just walk around the place not trying to scare people all the time. But the problem is that they aren't those dogs who wouldn't bother you if you don't bother them. They're these dogs who would back at you and really try to scare you by coming very close to biting range and bark with all their heart and torment you on your way to work. I hate these dogs and since I've started working here, they have been my constant ruiners of the day...though they do manage to really wake me up in the morning.

But I've had enough of these dogs. We have already told our neighbor about it and they said that they will take care of it. But the thing is they would take care of it and after a week, the dogs are out yet again. We already told our neighbor twice about the situation and yet this morning, the dogs are still outside their house barking as usual.

Hence the reason I called for back-up.

My poor younger brother. I have to wake him up at 5am so that he would accompany me to the main avenue of our street so that I can get a tricycle to go to work. And arming himself with a staff, he went out with me to face those dogs. He might be younger than me but he's really very protective of me and my older sister. Even with groggy eyes and half-sleeping body, he was shielding me from the barking dogs and scaring them with his staff by banging it into the aspalt. The dogs didn't even come ten feet from us.

This made me think how important my younger brother is to me. He might be annoying sometimes and most of the time forgets that I'm older than him but when I really need him the most, he pulls through for me. I really am happy that he is my brother. I wouldn't ask for anyone else. =)

I guess, now that he's protecting me from the evil dogs that lurks during the daytime, I have to be extra nice to him. He really is something when he's being protective and all. =) I'm really happy that he's my younger brother. =)
