Poor Cookie

It was a birthday of a girl. The whole family was there at their table with a huge cookie singing happy birthday to her. When the singing is done and everyone greeted her already, the cookie asked, "So, where's the cake?"

The girl answered, "We're not having cake."

Everybody stared at the cookie. All the cookie could say was "Uh-oh."

The scene disappeared and a huge cookie being chomped out to nothingness was seen and the sign "Chips Ahoy!" appeared after the cookie was devoured.

This is one of those scary commercials that I have seen so far. After watching that commercial, all I could think of was "poor cookie".

This does not mean that I won't eat cookies anymore after I saw that commercial. True that I feel sorry for teh cookie because he was invited to a birthday only to be eaten by the guest. It's really scary when you think about it. A guest being eaten by other guest. Yes, I know that it's a cookie and it sole purpose in life is to be eaten by humans but was it right to give it life and then eat it afterwards? True that the commercial didn't make us see the eating process but the "uh-oh" of that poor cookie says it all.

It was a cute commercial in the sense that they used clay models to make it up and the cookie was cute too. Okay...the first time I saw him I thought he was a fish but when they closed in on him, it was really detailed that he was indeed a cookie. But why do they have to make him a guest in a birthday only to be eaten in the end.

Anyway, I say again, that this does not stop me from eating Chips Ahoy! cookies. But I will see this in another light.
