It was a New Experience for Me... =)

Yesterday I've celebrated my birthday (my birthday was actually March 31, but I've celebrated it with my friends last night, April 1) with some friends of mine in the office. It was really great!

At around 6pm after our shift, Paul, Ricky and I decided to have a shot game of Vampire (the CCG). For the life of me, I've already played the game 5 times and I still get confused with the actions. Good thing both Paul and Ricky were patient with me so I manage to understand the game little by litte. Ironically, I won the game because Paul lost because of his own card and I bled Ricky with every last blood that he got! Frankly speaking I should have tried to bleed Paul way before but like I've said, I was still trying to get the hang of the game. But by the end of the game, I was the only one left standing! =) It was a terrific experience. =)

Then off we went to Omekase, that Japanese resto at Libis...it's actually beside the Citibank building. On our way there we were stuck in traffic. Paul was shot gun so he was the one telling me where to go. He was actually amazed how easily I can move from one lane to another and how I can squeeze the van into small spaces (I thank driving around the always traffic streets of Alabang-Zapote Road for that). When we finally got to Libis, Paul yet again instructed me to reverse park trying to remember the things that he taught me when we went to lunch in Market Market! (Yes! I've finally learned how to reverse park...next lesson, parallel parking). I was congratulated yet again by my "mentor" Paul for a job well done. =)

Then off we went to Omekase where Dino was waiting for us. Paul was the one who knows the dishes well that I let him order for us. We had different kinds of Sushis, Makis and Sashimis (I think it was around 10 huge plates) that we wolfed down and for desert we had Tempura Ice Cream (ice cream wrapped in Tempura). The ice cream was really good. I was honestly amazed that the ice cream didn't melt inside the batter because when it was served to us, the batter was still a little hot but the ice cream was still "whole" when I opened it up. By the end of the meal, I was so full that if I wasn't driving home I would have fallen asleep then and there. =)

So to wake us all up, we went for a stroll in Eastwood. It was like going around Enchanted Kingdom but no rides. Then I took the guys home (hey, I was the driver I really can't leave them there right?). I was really happy and satisfied. I had a good night sleep.
