Celebrating My One Year at Work

This is honestly the first time in my life that I have lasted a year in a company. So far, as I have recalled I have never lasted for more than six months for most of the companies that I have been in. The last company before this, lasted 11 months. Then I left to start here. And so far, it does have its ups and downs but with the officemates I have, everyday is really fun and enjoyable. We do have problems but I can say that I can accomplish anything with them around to help me out, or just there for company.

Last Thursday (May 19, 2005), I and 3 of my officemates (Paul, JC and Ricky) celebrated our 1st anniversary in the company! And honestly for me, it was one of the best nights I have spending time with the people who I can actually really call my friends.

After the meeting with a potential partner for the company, Paul and I proceeded to Glorietta to meet up with JC and Ricky to watch Star Wars Episode 3 (we had a very late schedule so we have time to do whatever). So while waiting for both Rick and JC, Paul and I went around Glorietta for potential palces to eat dinner and some otehr places where we wanted to check out new technology. It was really very enlightening because Paul really knows a lot of stuff about new PCs and Celphones. I have really learned a lot from him on what computer or what celphone to get in the future.

After that little tour, we've met up with Ricky and JC and talked about where to eat for dinner. We've decided to eat at Chef Di Angelo. It was really filling. For the price that I paid for it...it was cheap but good.

Then, since we have a lot of time in our hands, we've decided to spend some time and money in Time Zone. We've looked around and checked for different games to play. Paul decided to gamble around P200 to try to win a Winnie the Pooh doll in one of those "rigged" games. We called it rigged because we have spent around P200 in the game just to come out empty handed. Well, after trying to pry Paul away from the machine, we've played some more games until finally, we went inside the movie house.

The movie was really great! Click here for my review. =)

After the movie, we called it a night...or should I say day since the movie finished at around 2am...and we still have work the next day. =)

For me, it was a fantastic night. I really do hope that I won't be leaving this company any time soon...at the same time, I also hope that my friends will stay long as well. I love those guys! They've really been there for me a lot and I really do appreciate having them with me. Last Thursday, I really had the time of my life, not just because I've lasted a whole year in one company but I have found really great friends I know I will cherish all my life.
