No...that is not my brother. But I would like to compare the character of Jensen Ackles who plays Dean Winchester in "Supernaturals" to my older brother.
Jensen's character has had a very tough life. He's been everywhere and he's done everything. More or less has a bad boy image beneath his soft exterior.
He always teases his brother Sam (Played by Jared Padalecki) and would always argue with him about trivial stuff. But he would do everything in his power to protect his brother, even selling his soul to a demon just for Sam to live.
He would always argue with his dad about the decisions they his dad makes for them but in the end, he would just agree to his father's wishes.
That's Dean Winchester. That that is also how I see my own older brother. Kuya isn't the typical brother who would bail you out the first sign of trouble. He would wait until you try to figure it out yourself before he jumps in and saves your butt if you're really in too deep. He wouldn't help you out right but he would be there as a guiding hand to point you in the right direction.
Much like Dean, Kuya is responsible for me and my siblings especially when our parents left to work abroad. He was the one who was making all the major decisions and makes sure that we are safe from any kind of harm. He doesn't show his soft side to us often but you know it's there. And you will see it every once in a while.
There was an episode in Supernaturals that made me say "Wow! Si kuya yun ah!" (Wow! That's my brother!). It was an episode when Sam was kidnapped and was taken somewhere and Dean couldn't find him. I remember his line: "He's my brother. I promised to protect him. He's all I've got." Kuya would never say it out loud, especially when we're there, but his actions when it concerns me and my siblings would tell me that he also made a promise to protect us, because we are his siblings. He would always look tough and he would never show weakness but he cares.
Happy Birthday Kuya!
