A Very Disappointing Race
Last night, I have the misfortune of watching my favorite driver Kimi Raikkonen not finish a race for the first time this season. He not only did not finish but he barely started as well. I guess my brother was right about last Saturday being a sign of a bad race for him.
At Saturday qualifying, his car twitched and he ended up driving through the gravel damaging the bottom of his car which made him go back to the pits and not set a time. He was starting the race on the last place on the grid. The next day, he did even worse by ramming in front of a stationary Jaguar of Antonio Pizzonia, endind both their race before they even get started. =(
Very dissapointing indeed. I was hoping to see fireworks last night knowing that the new Ferrari car was being used to race. It would have been great to see the battle of the old Mclaren car race against the new Ferrari. But alas, it didn't happened. Guess I'll have to wait for the next race to see. =(
I was sad when I saw Kimi in the pits. His body language said it all. Even if his face was devoid of emotions (though I didn't actually see that since he was still wearing a helmet) you could still see by the way that he stood there that he was indeed disapointed. He could have won a podium finish. He could still have a big lead against Michael Schumacher not the 4 point lead that he has right now. Disappointing. Very disappointing indeed.
I really hope the next race would be better. I hope in the next race, I get to see Kimi leading and winning podium. Hohum...there would still be a next time.
