My Younger Brother, My Hero

As I pity my younger brother for waking him up at 5am just to accompany me because of the neighbor's dog, I find myself having new respect for him as well.

As I have said in the previous blog, he can be annoying and most of the time forgets that I'm older than him. But when you really need him, he pulls through. But what made me respect him more as a person and a brother is his way of protecting us. And it's really refreshing to know that you can count on him whenever you need him.

Another thing I really admire about my brother is his talent for learning martial arts or learning how to use a certain weapon without anyone teaching him or him reading anything about that weapon. He learns by watching people in their training and copy what they do. And what's great about it is that he can follow them without difficulty. I remember him when he was just 10years old. I used to see him in our garden, carving a piece of wood and shaping it into a sword. I used to spar with him before and instead of me teaching him the ropes being older, I was the one who's learning from him. I also rember him rummaging through the garbage that he have and scavanging for two pieces of wood that's was used as a handle for the broom that we have and an old dog chain. In the garden he's trying to fix it and make it into a "chako". And like before, he only learned to use it on his own. I see him swing those things around afraid that he might hit someone or break the sliding door of the house but he never did. And just a few days ago after so long of not seeing him use that weapon, he made a demonstration in his room. And I was honestly wide eyed and shock how he can twirl that weapon around, doing exhibitions that I haven't seen him done before, throwing it high behind his back only to catch it again in front without any difficulty. I honestly forgot he can do those things until he showed it to me again.

I have a very amazing younger brother. A deadly weapon to reckon with so I now refrain from pissing him off though knowing that he won't hurt me, I'll stay on the safe side. But at least now I know who I need to go to if I need someone beaten up badly. I have two brothers who can do it for me. I'm so happy I'm blessed with siblings like them. =D
