Scary thing happened to me yesterday...

I was driving along Edsa-Pasay to pick up my sistera round 6:30 pm. I stopped at a red light near along the LRT station. When the green light turned on, naturally along with the other cars around me, we started moving forward. Just as I was about to cross the LRT, a police officer stopped right in front of our van and told me to pull over. He then asked me if I was a cop, so naturally I said no. Then he asked for my license. When I asked what my violation was he just told me that I was caught for reckless driving. He then said that my license would be confiscated and that I was to get it in Pasay, Tramo. While I do not know where that is, I just said yes just to get it over with. When he mentioned that I need to attend a seminar for 2days.
As much as I would had endured a 2day seminar, I still have work to do and I really don't have time. So, as not to wait my time in the seminar, I've asked to just pay for the ticket and not go to the seminar since I really don't have time for it. The officer said that I need to pay P2000 already.

Unfortunately for me, I don't have that much cash with me. So the officer came into the van and directed me to the nearest ATM to withdraw cash. But even my money in my Bancnet ATM isn't enough. The officer was "kind" enough to just accept P1,200 from me. Plus the fact that I became a service for him and another fellow police officer and took them to the Police station near San Juan de Dios.

During the whole duration, I never really found out why I got arrested for reckless driving. I was also wondering why I was the only one who got arrested when after the green light there were a lot of other cars that sped off ahead of me and they weren't pulled over by the cops.

Honestly, I was really scared that time. I was alone in the van with 2 cops that really looked scary. You wouldn't know what ideas were running through my head that time. I was really scared and numb that I forgot to get the names of the police officers that arrested me.

When I told some of my friends last night, they were just thankful that I was alright. I was actually thankful that I was alright as well.

I am now P1,200 poorer. On a good note, I still have my license, no ticket and I don't need to go to a seminar for something that until now I don't know the reason for. And now, I have to find another way to get to DFA without passing through EDSA-Pasay. I don't want a repeat of what had happened to me.
