Last Saturday, after so many years of us not going on outings and enjoying the water for recreation, we finally gone back to swimming!
Years ago, before my parents left the country, we always go to Laguna during the weekends and go swimming. Back then, one of my aunts was living there so we usually leave home Friday Evening and spend the weekend in Los Baños. Saturday morning, we go to our choice of Resorts and go swimming. By afternoon, we head home. When my aunt moved to Manila we only get to go swimming during summer. When my parents left the country we didn't go swimming anymore...except during very special occasions like being invited to go on an outing.
Eversince we got ourselves a van, my siblings and I were really planning on going swimming at least once a month. But there was a time before when our schedules wouldn't allow it.
Finally last week, after all the planning and saving and planning some more, we've finally went swimming again!
So, we woke up 5:30 am to get our stuff ready. Everyone was really groggy and so sleepy we really had a hard time waking up! But my mom was really pushing us to wake up. She already boiled water for our hot drinks. Drinking hot chocolate or coffee really helped in waking us up especially me because I'd be the one who will be driving the van. Then after checking if everything was ready and made sure that we didn't leave anything, the whole family piled in our van.
We headed to Laguna around 6:15 am. Everything was smooth sailing until we reached the toll plaza near Carmona. Thank God for E-Pass that though the line was still long and slow because of all the other vehicles cutting in line and falling in line in the wrong lane, we were faster than the other lines that only has Cash/Coupon.
We got to Lake View Resort around 7:30 am. The best thing about Lake View was because there were only few people who goes there so we actually have the pool for ourselves! We did laps and had fun. We even tried to convince our grandmother to learn how to float. =)
By 9:00am, we were all exhausted, so we decided to pack up and head back to Manila (yes, it was that fast...the perks of living in the South).
Before we headed back to Laguna, we bought Fresh Milk and Fresh Choco, something that I had really missed! I really loved those milk because as compared to the branded milks sold in the market today, you really can taste the difference between a fresh cow's milk from the pasturized or sterilized one!
Then, we ate breakfast at Jollibee at the Total Station at South Super Highway.
We got home exhausted but satisfied. My sister and I decided to make it into a weekly outing! And because Las Piñas is near Laguna, we really don't have a problem!
