It has been a while since I was able to write again. I have been busy with work that even if I have something good to write about, I wouldn't be able to do it since I would be able to go to my blogger account and just type in some random thoughts that would become somewhat an opinion about life in general.
So, it's a nice change for me to actually be writing a blog right now, enjoying the comforts of my bed instead of sitting on the chair in front of our PC in my brother's room. After so many months of waiting, and after years of contemplating and saving but never really happening, I finally got a laptop.
I named him "Bill" named after Bill Weasley of Harry Potter since I am naming my gadgets after the Weasleys (I named the iPod Shuffle George and the iPod Nano Video Fred...the stolen DS Lite was named Charlie). It's an HP Mini (the B2-something series...I forgot...hehe), it's a netbook with 160GB of HDD and 1GB Ram. All the other specs are not really important to me, what's really important is the fact that it's WiFi ready, has a build in web cam, a working mouse pad and Microsoft Office.
It's small enough to fit in my small back pack, my sling bag and shoulder bag. But the key board is big enough that I don't really have a problem typing, unlike other netbooks that I have used in the past. And unlike other netbooks, where the up arrow key usually gets in the way when you try to use the Shift button on the right, the Shift button in the Mini is big enough and close enough to the other alpha numeric keypad that typing in the dark (like what I'm doing right now) isn't really a problem if you have memorized the keyboard.
The mouse pad has a button to turn off the feature, so if I don't really need to use the mouse or the mousepad whenever I type I turn if off for a while so that I wouldn't accidentally click on it. It's a handy feature especially for me who likes to play around with the mousepad while I think.
Another cool feature that I just found when I was personalizing Bill was that it has bluetooth that makes it easier for me to transfer files from my phone. So, I don't have to shut my phone off, take out the memory card, slap it in card reader to get the pictures or music that I have. I just need to activate my phone's bluetooth and connect with Bill.
So when I have the time, I'll take pictures of Bill and post it in my multiply account (sorry Paul, still no facebook) along with other pictures that I have yet to put (like my cute stress ball),
