It's Quoting Time
"I will not Fear.
Fear is the mind killer.
I shall face my fear.
I shall let it pass through me." - Leto II, Children of Dune
I love that movie.
Children of Dune is the second installment of the movie "Dune". Well, honestly started out as a novel with the same title "Dune" and was adapted in the movie. "Children" focuses mostly on the twin children of Paul Atradis also known by the people of Arakas as Moa 'd ib. As the children grew up learning to control the gift that they have inherited by birth from their families new challenges faced them. But in the end, they have controlled their destinies and set everything right in the planet of Arakas.
Anyway, the quote that was mentioned is really ideal to what has been happening with my life right now. With all the goings on in the company and so many things that changes all the time, it's really scary sometimes. Espcially with my present state. I am responsible for the choice of people coming in the company. If I make a wrong decision, I'm in big trouble.
But fear can do that to you. It eats you up and make you do things that you won't be able to think straight. And as the saying goes, "Fear is the mind killer."
We need to face our fears and let it pass. We will not overcome our fears if we don't face them and let it pass through us. We will not be able to fix our lives if we have something to fear about.
In the story, Leto II didn't face his destiny until he faced his fear of the coming sand storm. And with that, he overcame everything and was one with the planet that he needs to save.
We all have fears. Some of us even become as worse as phobias. But if we need to go forward to anything that we're planning on doing, we need to face what we most fear because once we've faced it and let it pass, we can overcome any challenges that comes to our path.
