"I can't fight a war with a smile on my face." - Atharun Zala, Gundam Seed
While this is pretty obvious, I can't help but think that there some people really enjoy shedding blood. I am afraid to think that for some, war is just a past time. Something to take for granted and because of it, they can actually smile about it.
It really sickening to think that there are people who can find it so amusing whenever they see countries, districts, religions or even people for that matter fight over something that can be worked out by talking. It pains me that if there are conflicts, instead of talking it out, they bring out their big guns and shoot at each other. And people can actually smile about it too.
People think that fighting is just something we take for granted. Killing people is something natural and should be smiled upon.
How can people just stop and stare at on going wars? How can people just pretend that it's a good thing to kill other people just because their opinions are different from yours? How is it that people can smile and laugh because they had destroyed someone's life? How is it that people do not care what would happened to the family of the one they killed just because they are of a different race than us?
Are we that heartless? Are we that cruel? Are we really animals that had just evolved to talk and walk straight?
If people can smile upon these things, then they're worse than animals. People say that war is entertaining. Would you say that if the fighting is at your doorstep? Would you still smile if it's your family that is in trouble because of the conflicts? Can you still smile while there is a war on going in your vicinity?
I can't fight a war with a smile on my face. While this is pretty obvious, people are really oblivious. Are we really that heartless?
